Toughbook CF-C2,

Panasonic has updated part of its range of ruggedized notebook computers with a number of improvements. The Toughbook CF-C2, a convertible notebook with a twisting display, has been upgraded to include a Haswell-based Intel Core i5-4300U vPro processor clocked at 2.9GHz, as well as Intel HD 4400 graphics, better battery life, and a number of other changes.

The battery in the updated CF-C2 runs for approximately 14 hours, according to Slashgear, three more than the original release. The addition of Windows 8.1 can be averted by an optional downgrade to Windows 7 Pro, the front webcam is updated to a 1.2-megapixel version with a microphone and an optional 5-megapixel rear version, and multi-carrier LTE modem support is also included.

Starting from $1,999, the Toughbook CF-C2 is shipping now, with storage including 128GB and 256GB SSD options.
