Last week some Nintendo Switch owners found  hardware problem with the Joy cons and have been looking for solution from the big N.  The issue is the left Joy-Con controller can fail to connect.

The problem looks to be the lack of a Bluetooth antenna wire, which when added seems to solve the connection problem as well as significantly increase the range of the Joy-Con. Now Nintendo is acknowledging there may be an issue.

During a Time interview with Reggie Fils-Aimé, president and CEO of Nintendo of America, he was asked about connectivity issues. “Specifically on Joy-Con syncing, all I can tell you is that we are aware of and have seen some of the reports. We’re asking consumers a lot of questions,” he replied.

For now, Nintendo isn’t sure what the problem is, but wants to figure it out so is asking Switch owners experiencing problems to contact Nintendo Support. Fils-Aimé views this as “fact-finding mode” which will then lead to a response if the company believes one is necessary.
