Nickelodeon Cancels Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Before the Start of Its Last Season

Nickelodeon has cancelled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles after five seasons. The animated series will not move forward into Season 6.

Instead, it will be rebooted and replaced with all-new 2D animated series Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, with 26 first-season episodes debuting fall 2018.

Keeping the TMNT alive atht he network, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles follows the band of brothers as they encounter new allies and villains and discover a magical world they never knew existed beneath the streets of New York City.

En route to the cancellation graveyard, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles premieres its fifth and final season March 19, 2017
