New Homeland Trailer Hints at Who May Return In Season 6

With just one month until “Homeland” Season 6 premieres, Showtime has released the official trailer for the upcoming season.

Though Quinn (Rupert Friend) is not actually seen, the lengthy trailer teases his return. The video ends with Quinn’s voiceover asking Carrie (Claire Danes), “What happened to me?”

With Quinn’s fate up in the air at the end of last season, the cast has since revealed that Quinn is alive and Danes said earlier this fall that Carrie is in New York partly because Quinn is receiving therapy there, after his Season 5 coma.

The trailer also paints the picture for the overall season which is the transition to the new president with Elizabeth Marvel playing the president-elect. The timing will parallel the real-life transition in the United States as Donald Trump is inaugurated early next year. Other new faces in “Homeland’s” sixth season are “24” favorite Robert Knepper and “Nurse Jackie” alum Dominic Fumusa.

“Homeland” Season 6 premieres on Jan. 15.
