MSI at this year’s CES launch their flagship GT80 Titan SLI gaming laptop with a number of industry firsts, one being a full mechanical keyboard from Steelseries featuring Cherry MX switches. With Computex almost here, the company has let it be known some of the laptops which will be at the show.

MSI has just announced a partnership with world leading eye-tracking company Tobii Tech to bring the emerging technology to the company’s already impressive gaming laptop portfolio. The GT72 is the first notebook to have eye-tracking built right into it. While it’s not a new concept on its own, the idea of using eye-tracking on a gaming laptop is something very new. In the near future, games are expected to react to eye contact, bringing immersion to a whole new level in games, and the GT72 is apparently ready when that happens.

Another first for notebooks is the addition of a G-Sync ready display, capable of matching the refresh rate to any given frame rate between 30-75 Hz. The GT72 will have a GTX 980M GPU paired with 8 GB of GDDR5, which should have no trouble delivering the graphics at those rates.

Going forward, MSI will be equipping all new gaming laptops with the latest mobile Intel Core i7-5700HQ processors. These new CPUs offer 7-10 percent more performance than the previous Core i7 processors.

The innovation doesn’t stop at the top for MSI. The GS and GE series computers are aimed at a more affordable price point, yet they still include some cutting edge technology. The company will be demonstrating Nahimic Sound Technology on its GE72 notebooks, paired with SteelSeries gaming headsets.

MSI said that the sound improvement technology has been acknowledged as a step forward by industries such as military and aeronautics, and it will soon be available on MSI GS60, GS70, GE62 and GE72 series notebooks.

With all this power crammed into modern gaming notebooks, it only makes sense that people would use them for content creation, as well. The major setback with image and video editing on a notebook has always been the lower image quality generally found on mobile displays.

MSI saw this as an issue that needed a solution and created the Prestige series notebooks. These high-powered laptops come equipped with Intel Core i7-4720HQ processors and a choice of Nvidia GTX 950M or 960M GPUs. Using True Color Technology, company engineers claim to have managed to create the most accurate color calibration procedure, to produce 100 percent sRGB color displays. Prestige notebooks will also be available with Nahimic sound, rounding out the full multimedia experience on one machine.
