Minka Kelly has joined the cast of Fox’s Human drama pilot from J.J. Abrams, J.H. Wyman and Bryan Burk.
The Friday Night Lights grad will play Valerie Stahl, a police officer with a strong set of morals, our sister site Deadline reports.
Human is an action-packed buddy cop show set in the near future when all LAPD officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids. Kelly joins the previously cast Michael Ealy (Common Law), Lili Taylor (Six Feet Under), Michael Irby (The Unit) and Mackenzie Crook (Pirates of the Caribbean).
Besides Lights, Kelly was one of the title characters on ABC’s short-lived Charlie’s Angels and has appeared on NBC’s Parenthood.
