Mercenary Kings is a sidescrolling platformer that was initially released on PC and PS4 in 2014, but never got got much attention due to some other games like Watchdogs. Fortunately, if you missed out on it, you’ll have another great chance to pick to the game up, as developer Tribute Games announced Mercenary Kings: Reloaded Edition today.

The game is coming to even more platforms than the original game did; this means PS Vita, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch have been added to the game’s platform lineup in addition to PC and PS4. This version includes some redesigns and rebalancing alongside new content and will release on February 6.

In the base game, players fight with a variety of mercenaries to take down the evil organization CLAW, who has taken over Mandragora Island. This time around, players will have access to even more content to complete their mission. This includes two new characters, the Olympian fighter Frigg and robot C-Zar, twenty new weapons to craft, and a new Steel Soldier mission.

Jean-Francois Major, Co-Founder of Tribute Games, had the following to say about bringing Mercenary Kings: Reloaded Edition to new platforms:

“We are very excited to bring Mercenary Kings to the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PS Vita users. The Reloaded Edition will provide current players with a refined experience loaded with new content and welcome new players to enjoy our mixture of customizable mayhem and over the top boss encounters on new consoles.”

In addition to the new content, Mercenary Kings: Reloaded Edition also comes with many quality-of-life improvements for the game, including the ability to buy materials, mission reward preview menus, displaying all objective on the mini-map, and tips being given during loading times.
