Wednesday, Marvel Comics will release the final issue of its Inhumans vs. X-Men event, which will feature the conclusion to a fight in which each team has been struggling for the very fate of its species. There have been losses on both sides, but the aftermath means plenty of new comics for us as new eras begin for both Mutants and Inhumans.

Recently, Marvel has given fans a glimpse of X-Men Prime, the transitional one-shot bridging the gap between the IvX event and what comes next for Marvel’s mutants, including two new team books and several solo titles. Now, we’re getting a peek of what’s next for the Inhumans.

Inhumans Prime #1, from writer Al Ewing and artists Ryan Sook and Chris Allen, will pick up with events after IvX as the heroes of Attilan move into a new era of several new titles: Royal Family, Secret Warriors and Black Bolt. Here’s how Marvel described the issue in a press release:

“Witness … the trial of Maximus! The prophecy of Marvel Boy! The rise of a new leader! And more! Plus, what dark secret is Black Bolt hiding that could shatter the Inhumans once and for all?”

While that’s may seem kind of vague, remember that this one-shot is bridging the gap between a final issue we haven’t read yet and a new publishing era we haven’t witnessed. So, in the aftermath of IvX, fans will see where Inhumans Prime takes them.

Look for Inhumans Prime #1 on March 29.
