Mad Catz Reveals Cyborg MMO7 Gaming Mouse – Coming in January

Gaming peripherals maker Mad Catz has introduced its Cyborg MMO7 gaming mouse for PCs and Macs. Made for its namesake massively multiplayer online games, the mouse shares many design elements and tech specs with the existing Cyborg RAT Albino. It gives users access to 78 unique commands thanks to its thirteen action buttons and six programmable modes.

There is a 6,400dpi, twin-eye sensor onboard that can be adjusted in 25dpi increments. Its tracking speed is as high as six meters per second, and the polling rate is dynamic and tops out at 1,000Hz. The connector is covered in gold, and the USB cable is braided.

An Actionlock feature reduces fatigue by locking the input of either the right or left buttons for moving through large areas of an open world environment. There are 16 million backlight colors to choose from, and the mouse can be weighed down thanks to five included six-gram weights.

The mouse supports Mac OS X 10.6.6 or newer, Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7.

The new Cyborg ships in January, though pricing has been disclosed. It will likely cost between $90 and $100 based on what Rat Albino costs.
