Logitech has announced a pair of new accessories for the iPhone 5 and 5s. The first is the Protection+, a case with a tough external shell and a rubber internal layer to absorb some of the force of impacts. Its edges are deliberately raised to guard the screen. Phones in the case should be able to withstand drops up to 1.8 meters, or roughly 6 feet.
The +Trip is a small disc-shaped accessory that lets users mount an iPhone onto a car’s air vent. To suit different cases or phones without a case at all, the product comes with a pair of universal adapters. Both it and the Protection+ include magnetic mounts designed to support attachments from Logitech’s Case+ system.
The Protection+ will ship next month for $35, and come in white, black, purple, and blue colors. The +Trip will launch around the same time for $30.
