The new devices include the G560 PC Gaming Speaker and the G513 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard.  This week we had a sneak peek of the  new the speaker system, which features Logitech G Lightsync technology.  that is able to synchronize light and sound to the gameplay on your screen

What Is Lightsync

Logitech calls its RGB lighting LightSync technology in marking speak – “an intelligent RGB solution that reacts to content to deliver a dynamic lighting experience … to create and control RGB lights from any piece of content.” So content such music, video and games can intelligently control the lighting effects, and those effects can sync across any Lightsync-enabled devices.

Logitech G560 Speaker System

Logitech’s  G560 speaker system is a 2.1-channel system whioch packsLEDs on the underside and rear of each of the two main speakers. The rear LED zone is huge and can easily light the wall behind your rig when we had our demo with the system.

The lighting system can produce 16.8 million colors with four lighting zones. Connectivity options include USB, 3.5mm, and Bluetooth. Bluetooth means you can switch between audio sources like PC, smartphone, and tablet.

New Logitech Gaming Software

Logitech Gaming Software (LGS) has been updated to supported the new speaker system. Game developers can use the RGB SDK to program the color and animation effects for their games.

Even if your favorite game does not support the RGB lighitng directly, you can you to gain adadvanage while gaming.  T he new version of Logitech Gaming Software (LGS) allows you to pick any area on your monitor and maps it to any of the four lighting zones on the two satellites.  The G560 then tracks in real-time and matches speaker lighting with the colors on screen.  For example you could map the the life meters of your team mates to the speakers and know their status from the light in your room.   This is a great reason to pick up the system alone.

The power of the system is 120W/240W (RMS and peak, respectively) and USB, 3.5mm, and BT 4.1 connectivity. The two satellite speakers are only 5.8 x 6.5 x 4.6 inches (HxWxD). The system supports Windows 7/8/10 and Mac OS X (DTS:X isn’t supported on the Macs).
