LG gave a teaser for its CES plans Monday with plans for a brand new remote. The Magic Motion Remote Control will center on a Wii-like gesture system for navigation, such as by drawing the letter “V” to watch videos. Voice commands will be present, although they should be simple and focus on basic channel changes and tasks.
Instead of a large grid of buttons, it uses wheel for navigating through lists. Those with 3D-capable sets will have a button to switch 3D on and off at the top level.
TVs using the Magic Motion controller should arrive in 2012 and will be unveiled at CES, although they may not ship until months later
