lego-lotr-600x337Ending today, Steam has LEGO Lord of the Rings (PC) for $14.99. That’s half the regular price. If you’ve been bricked up behind a wall somewhere, and haven’t played any of the LEGO games yet, they are fun and challenging for players of all abilities and great for families to share in their multi=player co-operative modes.

Also available at Steam is another pretty amazing PC game deal: The Sims 3 for $7.50, a savings of 75 percent. Just make sure you don’t have a life, or you’ll willing to forgo the one you do have: The Sims is crazy-addictive and seriously time-consuming.

At the Origin store, there are also a bunch of games on sale. A few particularly good picks: Batman Arkham City: Game of the Year Edition for $10, Battlefield 3 for $12, and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for $6.99. And be sure to poke around the other categories, because there are more sales than what’s listed on the main promo page.

Finally, if you’re willing to dust off the Wii, today only, Best Buy has the extremely cool Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two (Wii) for $14.99 shipped (plus sales tax where applicable). For 15 bucks, this is too good to pass up. (the Xbox and PS3 versions still run $40.) As an extra bonus, if you register your console with Amazon between now and Feb. 28, you can get a free $5 Amazon Instant Video credit (which can be used anywhere, not just on the Wii).
