Jamie Lee Curtis Ruled The Stage During The Halloween SDCC Panel

Jamie Lee Curtis stole the show at the Comic Con panel for Halloween yesterday with a simple act – a hug.

During a Q&A for the film, an attendee began to choke up while telling Curtis about a home invasion years before by a man brandishing a knife. He escaped, crediting Curtis’ actions in the Halloween as what saved his life saying:

“To make a long story short, I’m here today because of the way that you portrayed Laurie Strode. I’m a victor and not a victim.”

Curtis left the stage to embrace the fan and gave him a long hug and consoled him.

The other talk of the panel was the footage which showed off a key sequence from the film. Curtis says the most terrifying aspect of Myers is his randomness, that he can appear out of anywhere like a force of nature.

That was on display in the clip in which in a long shot he walks around Haddonfield on Halloween night, the streets are busy and he’s just another masked person calmly walking into people’s homes and killing them violently without the larger community being aware of it.

Halloween opens in theaters on October 19th
