The upcoming biography of Steve Jobs, the first to be done with the Apple CEO’s cooperation, has changed its projected title. Initial publicity had revealed that the book was to be called iSteve: The Book of Jobs, but author Walter Isaacson has told Fortune’s Philip Elmer-Dewitt that he was never too sure about it, with the result being that the title has now officially changed to simply Steve Jobs.

The book, scheduled to be released next March, is already available for pre-order on Amazon
and even (briefly) made it into Amazon’s top 50 best-sellers list (the online giant has it incorrectly listed as Steve Jobs: A Biography). Isaacson is best known for his biographies of Einstein, Benjamin Franklin and Henry Kissinger. He is a former managing editor of Time magazine and a former chair of CNN.

Jobs was perhaps persuaded to choose Isaacson to write the biography based on his history of definitive biographies as well as his most recent work, American Sketches: Great Leaders, Creative Thinkers, and Heroes of a Hurricane, which includes profiles of tech giants Bill Gates and Andy Grove.
