Mike Woodward, who since last year has served as HTC’s president of global emerging devices, has left the company for a position at Amazon.com.
Woodward confirmed his departure to Bloomberg, and said he’d left HTC at some point in the past 45 days. Woodward started at HTC in 2012 as the head of the company’s North American business. A mid-2013 reorganization redefined his role in the company.
Woodward didn’t say why he left HTC, and neither Amazon nor HTC offered comment on the change.
