HBO’s Avenue 5 Set Damaged By Fire

HBO’s new space comedy Avenue 5, by Veep creator Armando Iannucci, has been part of the set affect by the fire at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.

The series is dubbed a space tourism comedy set forty years in the future. Hugh Laurie stars as the captain of the space cruise ship Avenue 5 and is joined by the likes of Josh Gad, Zach Woods, Nikki Amuka, Rebecca Front, Lenora Crichlow, Suzy Nakamura, and Ethan Phillips.

British firefighters spent 15 hours trying to extinguish the huge blaze which is now out. The set was closed for the day when the incident took place and no injuries have been reported. In a statement, Warners says all productions were able to continue working and the Studio Tour was unaffected.

Avenue 5 still has two more episodes to shoot and the team is working on plan to finish  the season.
