Marvel Studios is set to bring James Gunn’s box office smash Guardians of the Galaxy to DVD and Blu-ray December 9 and, today, Gunn posted the below video on his Facebook page, along with the message, “A glimpse of the bonus features from the upcoming ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Blu-Ray!”
As you can see in the player below, the video opens with an 8-Bit arcade game version of Guardians of the Galaxy! Since it’s not listed on the special features as originally announced, it’s likely the game is a framing device for featurette material and not something playable. We’re hoping we’re wrong on that, though, as “Galactic Adventurer” looks like a lot of fun!
Still playing in some theaters, Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro. The film has brought in over $768 million at the global box office and has become the highest-grossing film of the year domestically with a total of $330 million.
