Google today demonstrated a future version of Google Maps that will work when the device is offline.
Users will be able to save maps on their device ahead of time for offline access. Nearly all features of Maps will work when offline, including location search, hours and reviews, and even voice-guided, turn-by-turn navigation.
Google said offline Maps will be available later this year.
