Gigabyte has announced a GTX Titan Black that comes with a WindForce cooler. Unlike most graphics cards, this time when we say that it comes with a WindForce cooler, we mean that the card itself features the standard Nvidia NVTTM cooler, but Gigabyte has opted to include one of its WindForce 3X 600W coolers in the package.

You might ask what is the point of including a powerful cooler but not mounting it for you. However, there is a good reason for this. Nvidia has restricted the board partners from mounting alternate coolers on its GTX Titan Black graphics cards. In order to get around this restriction, manufacturers simply include a different cooler as well as instructions on how to mount it.

The graphics card itself in the package features raised clock speeds with a base frequency of 1006 MHz along with an expected boost frequency of about 1111 MHz – a respectable jump from the reference 889/980 MHz clocks.

When shopping for this card, look for the GV-NTITANBLKGHZ-6GD-B SKU.
