Did the donkey episode get Fear Factor cancelled? We really don’t know here at ToT, but it is time to say good bye to the show again. Fear Factor initially ran for six seasons on NBC, from 2001 until 2006.
For those of you that have never seen it, some of us here would say count yourself lucky. It was reality competition that challenges contestants to do some disgusting stunts. In short, Fear Factor certainly wasn’t helping NBC’s image with the ad buyers.
The show was revived this season and performed well for the network, averaging a 2.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.08 million total viewers. Fear Factor was the highest-rated non-scripted series on the network, until the Voice returned. For the whole year, only the Office and the Voice had better ratings.
What about the Donkey
If you have just have eaten, STOP READING NOW, PLEASE. The sixth episode, titled “Hee Haw! Hee Haw!”, and featured a stunt that required contestants to drink donkey urine and semen. It was initially scheduled for January 30th but the network ultimately pulled it and ran a repeat instead. There also two other unaired episodes.
