The release date of the next entry into the Farming Simulator series has officially been announced by publisher Focus Home Interactive. Making the jump from its usual home on PC and home consoles to portable platforms,

Farming Simulator 18 will be released for the PlayStation Vita in both physical retail and digital downloadable versions sometime in June 2017.

Farming Simulator 18 will feature a new environment, new vehicles and brands, new crops, and new animals, among many others. There will be over 50 farming vehicles and machines from over 30 of the biggest brands in the farming industry including, for the first time, Challenger, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, and Valtra. Plus for the first time in the series, players will be able to harvest sunflowers and breed pigs.

Farming Simulator 18 will also be coming to the Nintendo 3DS.  An exclusive feature on that platform are forestry activities included. They may also expand their farms by selling products via a dynamic market. Aside from the livestocks and plants, a new Southern US environment will also be featured.

The Vita and 3DS versions will be focusing on the game’s management aspects. Instead of the usual manual actions used in the PC and home console versions, the actions in the portables will reportedly be automated via a press of a button.

Other details on Farming Simulator 18 are still being kept under wraps, but Focus Home is expected to give more updates in the next months prior to the official launch in June.
