EVGA Releases the SuperNova 1000 P2 PSU

evga-supernova-1000-p2-psu,V-K-397712-1EVGA has launched its enthusiast orientated SuperNova 1000 P2 PSU which features a vertical double layer main transformer that offers 1000 W of continuous power, an 80 Plus Platinum certification, and a “high amperage multi rail design” that provides a maximum of 83.3 A on the +12 V rail.

The power supply unit also features a fully modular construction, Japanese Nippon Chemi-Con solid state capacitors for improved long-term reliability, and a full suite of built-in Over Power / Under Power / Over Voltage / Short Circuit protections. Additionally, the SuperNova 1000 P2 includes EVGA’s new “ECO Thermal Control” fan system and “Dual Thermal Control” system which aim to increase efficiency for “longer operation and reduced energy costs” and are rated to produce zero fan noise at temperatures below 45° C.

The EVGA SuperNova 1000 P2 currently retails for $219.99 and will be backed by a 10 year manufacturer warranty. Interestingly, EVGA has announced that the PSU will also be offered in an 80 Plus Gold variant which will be released in the near future for $199.99 (after a $10 MIR).
