Ellen DeGeneres will appear in a brand new stand up special for Netflix. The daytime host made the announcement on Twitter Wednesday morning. The official Netflix account tweeted at her saying, “Looks like it’s been 15 years since you did a stand-up special, @TheEllenShow. How about one for Netflix?” DeGeneres replied shortly thereafter, “Let me think about it. Ok, I’m in.”

DeGeneres got her start in stand up comedy before transitioning into acting and then hosting her syndicated daytime show. The new special will mark her first since 2000, when she appeared in “Ellen DeGeneres: The Beginning” for HBO.

She is the latest high-profile comedian to partner with Netflix for a comedy special. Previously, Kevin James announced he would return to stand up with his own Netflix special, while the streaming giant recently released new specials from Tracy Morgan and two never-before-seen Dave Chappelle comedy shows, the first two of three specials Chappelle will release on the service. Netflix also released Amy Schumer’s “The Leather Special” and Louis CK’s “2017.”
