Namco Bandai has announced the release date for Earth Defense Force 2025. The alien shooter, which is being developed by Sandlot, will be released on Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2013.
The Earth Defense Force games are arcade third-person shooters where players face off against waves of giant insect creatures and robot enemies.
The game will once again deal with an insect alien invasion, and feature multiplayer support for up to four people. Earth Defense Force 2025 will feature more missions than ever before, as well as improved vehicles and soldier classes.
Previous titles include last year’s Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon and Earth Defense Force 2017, the latter of which is a cult favorite that launched early on in the Xbox 360’s lifespan.
