It appears that Destiny‘s second expansion, The House of Wolves, will release on May 19. At least, that’s the date discovered in a treasure trove of data dug up by a Japanese Destiny player and posted on Reddit, which also details the expansion’s new missions and gear.

The little in-game teaser for House of Wolves is subtitled “A New Fallen Warlord Rises”. Its descriptive text reads: “The Queen’s Fallen have purchased their freedom with Awoken blood. Hunt down the traitors and your debt to the Queen will be paid.”

The teaser says the second expansion will add a new Awoken storyline and an exclusive Raid, three new Crucible maps, a new Fallen Strike, and “hundreds of new weapons, armor and gear”. It’s not clear if exclusive Raid means ‘exclusive to PlayStation’, though The Dark Below’s ‘Crota’s End’ Raid was open to all platforms.

Bungie indirectly confirmed the leaked material via a forum post, though it also said they were all placeholder items left over from the ‘pre-launch database’ and don’t reflect any changes made since then. So keep in mind that everything (including the date) is liable to change as you hungrily pore over the images, searching for your new primary weapon of choice.
