Crackle Sets Premiere Dates for The Art Of More, Supermansion, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee

Crackle announced a number of premiere dates at TCA today led off by its first one-hour scripted drama The Art Of More which becomes available on Thursday, November 19.

art-of-moreThe 10-episode series, which stars Dennis Quaid, Kate Bosworth, Cary Elwes and Christian Cooke, is set in the cutthroat art auction house world. Cooke plays Graham Connor, a blue-collar upstart who breaks into this arena where his eccentric mentor (Elwes), a billionaire art collector (Quaid) and a beautiful auction house exec (Bosworth) also dwell. Crackle released the trailer above. Joining the cast at TCA today were creator/writer/executive producer Chuck Rose and EP Gardner Stern. Quaid also serves as EP along with Laurence Mark, Gary Fleder and Tamara Chestna.

supermansionCrackle’s first stop-motion animated series Supermansion, which made a splash at Comic-Con, airs its first three episodes on October 8 and the rest of its 10 episodes on a weekly basis starting on December 17. Bryan Cranston stars as the voice of Titanium Rex, leader of The League of Freedom, a motley band of super heroes that struggle to remain relevant in a world laden with caped guys. Robot Chicken’s Stoopid Buddy Stoodios are behind the series. Seth Green, Keegan-Michael Key, Jillian Bell and Chris Pine also provide voices. Cranston serves as EP, alongside Green, John Harvatine, Eric Towner and James Degus. Matthew Senreich and Zeb Wells of Robot Chicken are creators, writers and EPs.

comediansincarsgettingcoffee__140430160416-575x323Season 7 of Jerry Seinfeld’s unscripted series Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee starts airing its six episodes on Wednesday, January 6 at 11:30 PM ET.

The second season of live game show Sports Jeopardy! starts streaming its 52 weekly episodes on Wednesday, September 23, hosted by sportscaster Dan Patrick. The show is executive produced by Harry Friedman and Sony Pictures TV.

Crackle also announced added features to its “Always On” design that creates a seamless streaming experience, similar to TV. As soon as a viewer launches the Crackle app, a scheduled program will begin playing and consumers can browse for something else in the channel guide while continuing to watch what’s currently on.

Crackle will offer multiple channels of themed content that will vary throughout day parts – daytime, primetime and late night. The “Always On” feature is currently available on Roku and will be launching on a variety of other platforms this fall.
