While iOS has no shortage of ways to create and manage to-do lists, RealMac Software along with Impending are offering up Clear, a new to-do app now available for $1 for a limited time. Clear is a visually-oriented, iPhone-centric task and note app that offers basic features but done in an elegant way. Though the app is compatible with iPad, the company says an iPad-centric version is in the works.
The main screen of Clear is a “heatmap” list of subject or reminders or tasks ranging from red (most urgent) to yellow. Users can swipe to the left to delete tasks (the opposite of how deleting is normally accessed in lists), or swipe right to mark them done (two functions associated with swiping is normally rare in list-style apps.
Users can pinch anywhere or “pull down” to create a new task, drag the task up or down to reassign priority, and scroll to see older to-dos if any. A typical screen will show up to eight tasks, and the app supports multiple lists. Multiple lists can be created and stored, each with its own title.
The app requires iOS 5.0 or later.
