NBC is dabbling in Blackmail, with a script order for the aforementioned thriller from Breaking Bad alum-turned-The Path star Aaron Paul.
Penned by John and Thomas Sonntag, who will executive-produce alongside Paul via his Lucid Road shingle, the project follows a young married couple that suffers a life-changing accident. Afterward, they decide to get back at the man responsible by threatening to reveal his infidelity to his fiancee. But when things turn out to be more sinister than the couple originally thought, a dark game of cat-and-mouse sets them on the path to knowing what it means to be a real-life power couple.
This marks the Sonntags’ first TV venture, while Paul’s previous producer credits include The Path and Bojack Horseman.
