Brazilian developer Qubyte Interactive just announced that its ambitious beat ’em up revival 99 Vidas will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. This game is basically a giant love letter to the beat ’em ups that made the 90s so enchanting. If you loved games like Battletaods, Streets of Rage, Double Dragon, and Turtles in Time, then you’re going to enjoy the trailer below as well.

The game hearkens back to those days spent in the arcade section of Pizza Hut, pushing quarter after quarter into the cabinet with a buddy and hoping to get through an entire campaign. There is a diverse cast of colorful characters, all based on the 99 Vidas Brazilian podcast, and all of those characters have their own unique combos and special moves.
