Bose has updated its Wave lineup, introducing the Wave radio III and Wave music system III. The new models are said to integrate improved AM/FM tuners, displaying RDS data for song titles and artists, while international variants add support for DAB, DAB+ and T-DMB digital signals without requiring an add-on module.

Users can also take advantage of a touchpad along the top edge to control power and snooze, while dual alarms now can be set to play from different sources.

Both models retain the same “waveguide speaker technology” as their predecessors. The system utilizes relatively small speakers but is claimed to achieve robust presentation across a wide frequency range.

The standard Wave radio provides an AM/FM tuner and auxiliary input for other sources, while the Wave music system integrates a slot-load CD player. The company also offers optional input accessories, such as an iPod dock and a Bluetooth adapter.

The Wave radio III currently sells from the company’s US website for $350, while the international version fetches £450 (~$728 USD) in the UK. The Wave music system III is available domestically for $500, with UK pricing set at £600 (~$970 USD). Customers can choose from silver, gray and white colors.
