BMW M4The 2015 BMW M4 Convertible, the replacement for the M3 Convertible, has been seen road testing with barely any camouflage. That’s because the coupe and sedan versions of the car, the 2015 M4 and 2015 M3 have already been shown, and also because the M4 Convertible’s world debut is approaching.

As reported by Germany’s BimmerToday, the covers will come off at the 2014 New York Auto Show, which gets underway April 16. The car will then likely be shown at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show, which this year gets underway April 20.

The M4 Convertible is said to be arriving in showrooms only in the fall, meaning potential buyers won’t have access to the car this summer. When it does arrive, the car will be sporting a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six engine delivering 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, and should be able to sprint from 0-60 mph in around 4.0 seconds. Top speed will be electronically limited to 155 mph.

Expect prices to be slightly above the $70k asking price of the outgoing M3 Convertible.

The New York Auto Show will be a busy one for BMW this year. The German automaker has already confirmed that its updated 2015 X3 and all-new 2015 X4 will be shown in New York, and the event is also set to be the location for the local debut of the 2015 4-Series Gran Coupe and 2015 Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe, both of which were shown for the first time at the recent 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
