Be Quiet! has announced an expansion to a lineup of the Pure Power L8 series power supplies. These power supplies aim to expand the existing lineup of Pure Power L8 series and give consumers the same reliable, high-performance power supplies for a lower price. The only difference between these and the earlier Pure Power L8 units is that these do not have the modular cable management but instead have all-fixed cables. They still have the same 80 Plus Bronze certification.
The units are very quiet, as the brand name indicates. As such, the most efficient model (300 W) produces just 16.6 dBA of noise under full load. The power supplies also have all the standard safety and protection circuitry that we’ve come to expect from any modern power supply, including OCP, OVP, OTP, OPP, SCP and UVP.
On a Sad note, not all the units will come to U.S. retail channels. While Europe will be enjoying units ranging from 300 W to 700 W, the U.S. will only receive units with wattages ranging from 500 W to 700 W.
In the US the 500 W version will carry an MSRP of $75, the 600 W unit will cost $85, and the most powerful 700 W unit will cost $99. There was No ETA on when the units would be arriving.
