Apple LogoApple this week said it has no evidence of a “photo-sharing ring” in which employees at a Brisbane store snapped photos of customers without permission and stole images from their phones.

Still, as the The Courier-Mail first reported, four male employees were fired.

“One person would take a photo and add it to the chat and others would give the person or their butt or their boobs a rating out of 10 and they would add their own side commentary,” a store employee told the newspaper, expressing concern that the “disgusting” practice is occurring in other Aussie locations.

There are also reports of workers lifting photos from clients’ iPhones.

The issue was initially flagged at the Carindale, Queensland store, the Courier-Mailsaid, after a staff member noticed a technician browsing a customer’s handset in the repair room.
