AT&T has introduced Mobile Share Value Plans, a new discount option for its subscribers. The option cuts significant amounts per month off of a Mobile Share plan, so long as a customer meets certain criteria: people must have an off-contract phone, or else upgrade through AT&T’s Next program. Under these scenarios, a person can save between $10 and $115 per month on a single device, and between $20 and $105 on a two-device account. Two phones on a 4GB plan, for instance, costs $120 per month.
The carrier is also adding a new 8GB tier, normally costing $130 per month for one device, or $170 per month for two. Next is being expanded with an optional 18-month payment period, an alternative to the program’s usual 12-month period. Accordingly, the longer timeframe reduces the monthly fees involved.
The Value Plan and Next changes are set to launch on Sunday, December 8th. Both new and existing customers are eligible, whether on business or personal accounts.
