Attack on Titan 3dsAttack on Titan: Humanity in Chains will be launched on the game console Nintendo 3DS beginning May 12 for $39.99 on eShops, according to Atlus’s recent announcement.

The game’s title is based on the literal English translation of the Japanese anime popularly known as Shingeki no Kyojin. Atlus stated in the press release that the game will be known as Shingeki no Kyojin: Humanity in Chains in Europe due to a copyright claim in the continent.

Both American and European gamers will receive a free Attack on Titan Nintendo 3DS theme for every purchase of the copy of the game. However, there is no exact launch date for European players, but Atlus plans to announce it sooner.

The story of the game of Attack on Titan was actually based on a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama back in 2009, which developed into an animated television series that aired in 2013. It narrates the story of a group of military fighters who utilize equipment known as 3D maneuver gear, devices that make navigation easy by using long-range grappling hooks and fuel-powered boosters.
