Asus has released a series of teaser images for a new tablet device that it plans to unveil at Computex 2011. It is using its Facebook page to pitch the question, “Break the Rules: Pad or Phone?” With no other details about the OS the device uses, or its screen size, it poses questions about whether it will be a cross-over device akin to the Dell Streak 5 tablet. Asus used CES earlier this year to tease a range of tablet devices, though none of these appears to fit the new product.

The photos highlight some interesting stylistic touches, delivered by the “AsusDesign” team. It appears to use a blend of materials including brushed aluminum and glass, which combined with its branding, gives the impression that it is a high-end device. Other touches include a raised surface as well as what could be possibly be a clip or stylus.

All will be revealed in the next week, when Computex 2011 kicks off in Taipei
