This week during COMPUTEX 2014, Asus Republic of Gamers revealed two gaming PCs and one gaming laptop: the ROG G20 gaming desktop, the ROG GR8 console-shaped gaming PC, and the ROG GX500 gaming notebook.

For starters, the GR8 console gaming PC will likely fall under the Steam Machine umbrella, as it will be fully compatible with SteamOS and the Steam Controller. This gaming PC will have a unique, console-like form factor, but pack an Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 750Ti graphics. Additional features will include Gigabit Ethernet, SupremeFX audio output, 4K/UHD output, and a design that makes changing the storage and memory extremely easy.

Next we have the ROG G20 gaming PC, which will include an Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 graphics. This machine will also sport a unique compact case design that hides the exhaust vents, and a hidden airflow tunnel that promises efficient heat management. This design also promises near-silent operation, which measures at 25dB when the rig is idling. Asus reports that this PC has already received Best Choice of the Year Award and Best Choice Golden Award at COMPUTEX.

Finally, we have the GX500 ultra-thin gaming laptop, measuring just 0.75 inches thin and weighing 4.85 pounds. This laptop will include the latest Intel Core i7 processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M graphics, and a 15.6-inch display with a 3840 x 2160 resolution. This screen will also be backed by VisualMaster technology, which provides a 100 percent NTSC wide color gamut, a “world’s first” for a notebook, according to Asus.
