The ASUS Eee Slate demo’d at CES has now received a ship date for the UK thanks per a listing on Amazon. The 12.1-inch tablet PC will cost the equivalent of $1,627 (£1,000) and has a 1.86GHz Core i5 CPU and 4GB of RAM. There is also a 64GB solid state drive onboard.
Also accounted for is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, a two-megapixel front-facing camera and Windows 7 Home Premium. Outputting HD videos is possible thanks to an HDMI port.
The screen offers 1280×800 resolution and can accommodate inputs from the included pen or a user’s finger. Battery life is said to be 4.5 hours.
The US release isn’t yet known, even though an Amazon webpage shows an $1,100 price tag for the same device.
