Before Roy Harper returns to Star City in an upcoming episode of Arrow, he’ll first be stopping by The Grinder. Colton Haynes will guest star in a February installment of the FOX sitcom, and he’ll be playing the TV son of Dean Sanderson (Rob Lowe). EW.com first reported the news.
As EW.com states, Haynes will guest star as Luke, “who was brought onto the hit legal drama The Grinder (that is, the show within the show) to help ‘ground’ our hot hotshot attorney Mitch (who is played by Dean Sanderson, who is played by Rob Lowe). Luke tries to steer his father toward becoming a family man again rather than going down an unsavory path.”
So, just to clarify, Haynes will not be playing the son of Lowe’s character Dean, but the TV son of Dean’s character, Mitch, on the show within the show, The Grinder. Haynes’ episode airs Feb. 2, and he will then reprise his role as Roy Harper on Arrow the following night, Feb. 3.
