Some of the acts that will appear at the 2013 iTunes Festival in London have been announced by Apple, and include Phoenix, Jessie J, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Primal Scream, Justin Timberlake, Queens of the Stone Age, Jake Bugg and Jack Johnson. In total, more than 60 artists will perform at the Roundhouse venue as the iTunes Festival runs every night in the month of September. Apple TV owners and iTunes users will be able to watch the performances in HD, while iOS users can catch live streaming through the iTunes Festival app.

In addition to calendar information, bios, links to purchase music and the live stream, the iOS app as well as iTunes and Apple TV will feature on-demand replays of some of the performances for a limited time, and EPs made out of the performances will be instantly available for purchase. “Music fans around the world are going to love watching this incredible month of music,” said Apple Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue. He described this year’s event as “the best ever, with an incredible lineup of global superstars and stellar emerging artists.”

The company has also reactivated its @itunesfestival account on Twitter in order to broadcast announcements on the show. Despite the strong popularity of the festival, tickets are not sold for the events: UK users can win tickets by participating in sponsored contests or through the iTunes Festival app and also by entering the drawings through the iTunes Store itself. Some tickets will be won in other countries through promotional contests with partners, with the US, Australia, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Brazil and Japan participating.
