Amazon wants to deliver packages via drone using Prime Air having already carried out a Prime Air drone delivery earlier this year at the Mars Conference. Now Amazon has been awarded a patent from a 2015 filing.
Back in March, Amazon showed it commercial delivery drone at the SXSW conference in Austin, sans a flight demonstrate.
The patent is for an “Aerial Package Delivery System,” but more specifically a new type of shipping label. What makes the shipping label so special it needs a patent? Because it comes with a built-in parachute.
