Kodak Today launched the ESP 9250 as its new flagship inkjet all-in-one. The printer suppoerts 802.11n Wi-Fi for printer sharing,  color at 9,600DPI, with duplexing an option, and scans at a true 2,400DPI. It also has an Bluetooth adapter option. .

Fast Printing

It  prints four by six inch photos as quickly as in 29 seconds, which makes it one of the fastest all-in-ones at theat task.   A multi-format card reader takes photos directly from most point-and-shoot cameras.

It also fast when comes to  regular color images. handling that task at up to 30 pages per minute. Faxing and standard copying work comes in at up to 26 pages per minute.  To reduce paper use, the KODAK ESP 9250 Printer seamlessly handles double-sided, duplex printing.

SELPHY CP800 -Canon’s New Compact Photo Printer

Canon’s new SELPHY CP800 photo printer is the successor to the SELPHY CP780.  The new photo printer adds a shuffle function that randomly selects photos from a memory card and combines them into one 4×6-inch image. The CP800 also adds a new 2.5-inch tilt LCD screen.

The CP800 includes Canon’s built-in Portrait Image Optimize function, with enhancements to the face detection brightness correction and color cast correction to make skin tones and faces look more natural and realistic. Full-color, 4×6-inch photos from cameras connected through USB or from plugged in memory cards will print in about 47 seconds. Users can also print photos without connecting to a computer by printing directly from compatible memory cards or using the PictBridge connection.

Canon is offering an optional battery pack for the SELPHY CP800 printer that makes it useful away from home for instant hard copy photos. Also available is a Bluetooth adapter that allows the printer to wirelessly receive photos from compatible devices such as cellphones.

The Windows and Mac compatible SELPHY CP800 will retail for $100 in both black and while colors. It’s anticipated that battery pack will be priced at $80, while the Bluetooth adapter will be $50.

Plug and Print with New HP Laser Printers

HP has bolstered the HP LaserJet Pro printer line with a new ”plug and print” technology that allows customers to begin printing in as little as two minutes by simply connecting a netbook, notebook or desktop PC to the printer with a USB cable – no CD required.  New monochrome printers featuring HP Smart Install include the HP LaserJet Pro P1100 Printer series, the HP LaserJet Pro M1130/M1210 Multifunction Printer (MFP) series and the HP LaserJet Pro P1566/P1606dn Printer series.
